I haven't seen a topic discussing careers and I thought it would be fun to ask what everyone does for a living, or if you are a student what you are majoring in?

I work as a substitute teacher for little ones while going to school for my radiology degree. :D

I'm a student majoring in environmental science. I'll be applying for internships in the near future and I'm extremely excited!

I'll be going to university next September :) I'm considering a career in wildlife conservation research.
Do you have a specific career in mind?

My end goal is similar! I want to work in a wildlife conservation center of some kind and if I can't find any jobs in that area I'd like to work in a national park for a while or maybe even in a different country. I only chose 'environmental science' because my school doesn't offer 'wildlife conservation' anymore.

Engineer.. I've only ever met one other queer female engineer. Naturally, we became BFFs :p

But surely there's more out there?

I'm a Sales Manager. Thinking about it, there was this individual that was walking along the side path and was to cross the road. He wore this t-shirt that read 'Sex Instructor'. Before he crossed the crossed, I asked if he had a minute for a quick question. Puzzled, I asked pointing at the back of his t-shirt: 'Seriously'? Laughing he told me: 'Tell me your interested, and you can be my student'. Confused, I said: 'You won't want to know how we do it, just make the instructor I'll do the rest'. 2 minutes later, he gave me a t-shirt and a badge. So, here I am, a Sex Instructor. Embarrassed? You tell me.

Yup I'm a civil engineering major switched after getting an electrical engineering internship. I like being outside more! On the side I lifeguard and teach swim lesson to the little ones. Had some IT jobs but they're boring. @fireinthewater what type of engineering are you?

Marketing is not boring. Well I guess it depends what kind of marketing you are doing as mine actually requires knowledge of real marketing, computer science, psychology, data analysis, and media/broadcasting. I find that enjoyable and with plenty of variety.

Have a degree in chemical engineering, working as a technical safety engineer in the oil and gas industry. So was civil the right choice? Any thoughts about pursuing a career in the field?
