    I dreamed I stayed over at someones house after a party and when I woke up I couldn't find my clothes. That was stressful. I specialise in neurotic anxiety dreams. Did you dream anything funny or interesting or scary :twisted: ?

    I dreamed I was being chased down the same street by an unknown pursuer and every time I thought I was away, I ended up on the same block and so I eventually just stopped and in my dream I turned to the unknown person and said fine do what you want im tired of running and although i still didn't recognize the person, he/she pinned me down and gave me a paper cut and then i woke up sweating :shock:

    Oh, I could end up posting in this thread a lot. I tend to have very detailed dreams and I remember them often. I shared one I had a few nights ago on Facebook the other day, I'll post that one.

    --

    I was in high school and to graduate I had to complete this class assignment where all in one particular class had to choose a song to sing in front of a bunch of faculty. I was unhappy about this prospect since, well, I can't sing. And also the assignment made no sense.

    When we got into the theater there were like 100 people in there and I made a comment on how I've seen less people at a movie theater than this.

    So, I had my song picked out (A Joni Mitchell song - What was I thinking??) but when it was my turn I got on stage I decided I wasn't going to do it. I said to the audience something like, "I think this assignment is ridiculous. This isn't even a music class. It seems cruel to require someone who can't sing to stand up in front of a bunch of people and embarrass themselves. But since I need to do this in order to graduate I will complete this requirement."

    Then I sang, "Smelly cat, sm-elly cat - What are they feeding you? Smelly cat, sm-elly cat - It's not your fault."

    Then I waved and walked off stage. Hehe.

    --

    The song is from Friends, by the way. It's not something I made up.

    I dreamed I was on holiday on a Spanish island. While I was there I realised the people I was staying with were gun runners. That was scary. Then I found a puppy without a home and I was trying to take care of it. It was fat and warm and cuddly.

    @Emme, it's supposed to be a really good sign if you confront a pursuer in a dream, because it means you're confronting your fears, and the paper cut makes it sound like the things that scare you weren't so scary after all!

    @RVT :lol: Donald Trump :lol:

    @Harpy :lol: :lol: :lol: Smelly cat! Cute choice!

    I dreamed I was on a community green across from the house I grew up in, which was used as a local sports ground, but it was really just an empty field. It was the first expanse of green I ever knew in my life and it fascinated me, I grew up in the suburbs with mostly concrete and tiny gardens and I longed for wildlife and nature as a kid. Anyhow, back to the dream. There were wolves on the green, but I wasn't scared by them, wary of them yeah, but I somehow felt I was one of them in some strange way. One by one the wolves started to howl, it was incredible, I was awestruck, and felt like the wolves were somehow my family. I think I may have joined in the howling, but I can't remember for sure. I had a strong feeling of being at home somehow.

    @Emme, your dream? Usually a pursuer in your dream represent the things you are afraid of in life, so the fact that you turned to confront the pursuer probably means that you are tired of being scared/worried by something, and are willing to face up to it. In the struggle you only got a minor injury, so that probably means it's not as scary or powerful as you thought "it" was. It's also a good way for your mind to work out some of the emotions that you might not be dealing with in waking life.

    Oh sorry, haha, didn't think anyone would be interested in that (which poses the question why did I post it, lol).

    I think the pack probably represents a social group, I've made a new group of friends recently and I think it's just to do with me feeling like I fit in with them and that I really like them, just that feeling of home you get when you find a good group of friends. Why it was set where it was (somewhere filled with childhood memories) I don't really know, perhaps some of the emotions involved relate to childhood feelings of trying to fit in (which was never easy for me). The howling probably represents us being like-minded, we agree on most subjects, so therefore howl together as one.

    I don't remember my dream last night, though the last dream that I had that I remember was rather bizarre.

    In my dream, there was a law that required that Vegemite had to cover all objects. In my dream, i frantically rubbed Vegemite spread all over the walls of my home with fears that the police would come if I didn't comply with the law.

    Perhaps I was hungry before bed...

    @ flowershowers :lol: that's a good one. Sounds like you feel like you have to conform to something that you find a bit ridiculous or strange.

    @eva mac, your analysis was on point, I do feel as if I have to conform to strange things that don't seem to make sense, lol

    That's simple Emme, it just means you miss them. Just because you don't have a functioning relationship with them anymore, doesn't mean you can switch your heart off from caring about them or wanting to see them. Your heart is just telling you how it feels about never seeing them anymore. A lot of dreams are just your emotions trying to communicate something to you that your waking mind is trying to ignore or put to one side.

    One side of us is operated by our heads, we make decisions in waking life that our heart can't necessarily understand, because hearts are just filled with love. Usually our waking selves are governed more by our heads, and when we sleep and our conscious mind is switched off, our hearts and emotions come out to play and tell us what we're really feeling about the decisions we made with our heads.

    The railway workers and the dynamite and the trains coming and my cat running around in the middle of it all and me trying to catch him to get him out of danger. You know - the usual.

    Funny. I had a dream the other night I was just walking on a street with my cat, off leash (which I never do) and he/she (I'm not sure if it is one of my deceased cats or my current Tabby) ran off towards traffic. I jumped up in bed, then turned and gave my current cat a death stare. Hehe.

    Something tells me we worry too much about our furry friends Harpy, lol. I regularly have anxiety dreams in which Pookie is in some dangerous or horrible situation and I have to try to fix it all.

    @Eva and Harpy.

    Maybe it is a symbol in both of your dreams that it is time to let something go that you have been chasing or hanging on to for dear life? Then again it might also be about letting someone that you feel is slipping away know about how you feel? Idk
    It doesn't have to be about your furry friends at all - although it could be :)
