    Hello from Bristol UK

This week has been revelationary for me -
i don't feel like giving lots of detail as I'm just taking it steady inside myself but what I will say is ...
'No more men for me :)
    What a relief !
Denial is a thing hey .. I mean it just doesn't let u see it - sneaky

But always when the time is right in my experience

I was in shock when I came out of it and saw things clearly - I was walking around the house with my mouth
Open and feelings of joy and liberation. Wow I thought and then looked back over my life and it all started to make perfect sense -

So for now it's about me learning about me - and who I am now I know -
It's like I'm me but different
    I like it :)

I asked the question 'but why' and the answer came ' because you are :) and that's a good answer :)

    Thank you

Welcome to ae. Don't feel like you have to fit some lesbian stereotype. Just explore who you are and roll with it.

Welcome, and good for you! Funnily enough I chanced upon a documentary series called the Secret Lives of Women. There's actually an episode about women who realise that they're lesbians in life. It's quite interesting - not sure if you can find it but you may find that it resonates for you. :)

Thank you - yes I suddenly realised all I have is 'the stereo type and the night life side of life ..
I realised that this is truly a personal journey and I'm still me .
I just keep saying to myself 'I'm gay' and then smiling..
Everything makes sense all of a sudden ..
Thank u for the suggestion of the documentary ..
happy in my new awareness :)

    Hi Emma rose!

I'm 43 and married 5 years and just also "woke up" and am encouraged by your message.

How has it been since you first realised?

I'm in process of discussing it with my husband and it's going to lead to a lot of life changes for us so I'm keen to hear from others who have come out in their 40s!

Feels like I need a new start - I live I. London but am contemplating moving city to start a new.

Love to hear how you are doing?

Thats exactly how I felt when I realized my interest in women not too long ago. All of a sudden so many things from my past started to make sense when I looked at it with this new found knowledge of myself. Its very liberating to finally figure yourself out :)
